Washington requires training and certification for its contractors through a state approved trainer. The decontamination procedure itself seems to be vague but extensive oversight is provided by the health department including testing. The decontamination standards for methamphetamine are listed as ≤1.5ug/100cm² according to WAC 246-205-541 which was changed from ≤0.1ug/100cm² in 2015.
